Finding Your Light

Written By: Kaitlyn Lewis, LPC

The summer solstice brings the longest day of the year, a reminder to notice where the light is in our lives. Life can feel full of transitions. Jobs change, schedules shift, relationships evolve, and our own goals and desires grow in new directions. Sometimes it feels like walking through a dim hallway. You know there is light somewhere, but you are not quite sure where to step.

Try taking a few minutes to reflect on what is changing. What parts of your life are ending? What parts are beginning? Journaling, sketching, or just sitting quietly can help you notice these shifts without pressure.

Virtual therapy can be a helpful lantern along the way. You can explore feelings, make sense of transitions, and feel supported even if the path ahead feels uncertain. Every small insight is like catching a bit of sunlight to guide your steps.

Transitions do not have to be rushed. They can be full of curiosity, exploration, and gentle reflection. You can step forward with care, taking one thoughtful move at a time.
