Nurturing Your People Garden

Written By: Kaitlyn Lewis, LPC

May is full of flowers and new growth. It is a perfect time to think about the people in our lives as our own garden. Relationships need care, attention, and a little watering to grow.

Check in with your people garden. Who makes you laugh without explanation? Who listens without judgment? Who always checks in to see how you are doing? These relationships are like sunlight and water. They help us feel alive, nourished, and connected.

Small gestures go a long way. Send a text, share a silly meme, or invite a friend to a short walk. These little acts are like planting new seeds that can grow into strong, flourishing connections.

Sometimes parts of our garden feel messy or overgrown. Virtual therapy is like a gardener’s toolkit for your emotions. A therapist can help you untangle thoughts, explore relationships, and tend to the areas of your life that need care. Blooming together is about noticing, nurturing, and allowing yourself to grow alongside others while also caring for your own needs.
