My Approach to Therapy

I believe in a collaborative approach to counseling - built on genuine partnership, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to your growth. My goal is to walk alongside you through the peaks and valleys of life, offering a confidential, non-judgmental space where you feel truly safe to speak and be heard.

I work from a person-centered foundation, which means I hold unconditional positive regard for every person I work with. You are a highly unique individual, and I treat you that way -- tailoring our work together to your specific needs, your goals, and your pace. I believe wholeheartedly in your expert-level understanding of your own life. My role is not to hand you answers, but to help you access the insight and strength that are already within you.

I am particularly passionate about increasing accessibility to mental health services and treating every client with the dignity they deserve.

How I Work

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, always choosing what fits you best. I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help build psychological flexibility and reconnect with what matters most. I also use Parts Work, rooted in Gestalt therapy, which invites a compassionate look at the different sides of ourselves -- especially the ones that feel at odds or hard to understand.

For anxiety, depression, and OCD, I find Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to be powerful tools for shifting the thought patterns that keep us stuck. When working with clients navigating Borderline Personality Disorder, I integrate DBT-informed strategies to support emotional regulation and distress tolerance.

I am also trained in Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and I have seen it make a remarkable difference for clients carrying the weight of trauma -- often bringing relief not only from PTSD symptoms, but from the anxiety and depression that tend to travel alongside it.

What Lights Me Up

One of the most meaningful parts of this work is supporting clients through relational growth and identity development. Watching someone find their voice, strengthen their connections, and step more fully into who they are -- that never gets old. Seeing communication restored and new skills take root is one of the greatest privileges of this work.

Above all, I am committed to holding a space that is empathetic, non-judgmental, and genuinely yours. Therapy works best when it feels like a true partnership, and that is exactly what I hope to build with you.
