Leaning Into Fears With Curiosity

Written By: Kaitlyn Lewis, LPC-S

October invites us to notice our shadows, our worries, and the things we often avoid. Facing fears does not mean forcing yourself to be brave. It means exploring them with curiosity and gentleness.

Try this: name a fear that keeps showing up. Write it down. Ask what it might be trying to teach you. Observe it like a story instead of a threat.

Virtual therapy is a safe place to explore fears. A therapist can help you navigate emotions, reflect on patterns, and find small steps toward courage and clarity.

October reminds us that shadows have gifts. Fear can reveal what we value, what we need, and where growth is possible. Approaching fears with kindness allows insight and resilience to emerge.
